UNTOLD
I came up with the name Untold because it perfectly captures the essence of the magazine, telling the stories of skateboarders that often go unheard. These are the tales of individuals who live to push boundaries, embrace risks, and seek the thrill of the unknown.
For the cover artwork, I visualized this spirit by placing skateboarders near space, skating between the stars and grinding on the edge of the universe. This surreal imagery symbolizes their limitless potential, where the universe itself becomes their playground, there are no limits in skateboarding, and Untold reflects that attitude.
Inside, I continued this rebellious theme through the editorial design. The layout uses a grid system that’s both adhered to and intentionally broken. The typography often steps outside the grid, symbolizing how skateboarders don’t color within the lines but break free from constraints. It’s a visual representation of the creativity and freedom that define skateboard culture.
